Ricercatore di Archivistica, bibliografia e biblioteconomia presso il Dipartimento di studi storici dell’Università degli studi di Milano dove insegna Archivistica informatica e Digital humanities e tiene i moduli di Fondamenti, sviluppi e metodologie delle Digital humanities e di Linked open data e semantic web per il Master di II livello Digital humanities.
Si è formata presso l’Università di Pisa (laurea in Lettere, curriculum classico, e laurea specialistica in Scienze del libro, della biblioteca e dell’archivio) e La Sapienza Università di Roma (dottorato in Scienze documentarie, linguistiche e letterarie) ed è stata funzionario di biblioteca presso l’Università di Pisa; oltre che presso l’Università degli studi di Milano, ha insegnato a contratto per vari anni all’interno del corso di laurea magistrale in Informatica umanistica dell’Università di Pisa e presso la Scuola di specializzazione in beni archivistici e librari della Sapienza Università di Roma.
Ha conseguito l’abilitazione scientifica nazionale a professore di seconda fascia per il Settore concorsuale 11/A4, Settore scientifico-disciplinare M-STO/08-Archivistica, bibliografia e biblioteconomia.
Ha collaborato a progetti di ricerca nazionali ed internazionali, membro di comitati scientifici di riviste scientifiche italiane e internazionali, dell’Osservatorio per la scienza aperta della Conferenza dei rettori delle università italiane, CRUI, della Commissione per il mantenimento, l’aggiornamento e la diffusione delle Regole italiane di catalogazione – REICAT e di altri gruppi di lavoro.
I suoi principali interessi di ricerca vertono su teoria e tecniche della catalogazione, cataloghi, repository istituzionali della ricerca, comunicazione scientifica, analisi citazionale, uso di indicatori bibliometrici e di strumenti di altmetrics, peer review, formazione universitaria all’interno del settore delle scienze del libro.
Research fellow of archiving, bibliography and library and information science at the Department of Historical Studies of the University of Milan where she teaches computer archiving and digital humanities and holds the modules on foundations, developments and methodologies of digital humanities and linked open data and semantic web for the II level Master’s Degree in Digital Humanities.
She trained at the University of Pisa (degree in Literature, classical curriculum, and specialist degree in Book, Library and Archive Sciences) and La Sapienza University of Rome (PhD in Documentary, Linguistic and Literary Sciences) and she was a chief librarian at the University of Pisa; as well as at the University of Milan, she taught on contract for several years within the
master’s degree course in Digital humanities at the University of Pisa and at the School of Specialization in Archival and Book Heritage at the Sapienza University of Rome. She obtained the national scientific habilitation as associate professor in Italian universities for the competition sector 11/A4, scientific-disciplinary sector M-STO / 08-Archivals, bibliography and librarianship.
She has collaborated on national and international research projects, member of scientific committees of Italian and international scientific journals, of the Observatory for open science of the Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities, CRUI, of the Commission for the maintenance, updating and dissemination of the Italian Cataloging Rules – REICAT and other working groups.
Her main research interests focus on cataloguing theory and techniques, catalogues, institutional research repositories, scholarly communication, citation analysis, use of bibliometric indicators and altmetrics tools, peer review, university education within the book science sector.
